Dil, Diya, Dehleez

Dil, Diya, Dehleez (1999) () is a Pakistani novel written by Riffat Siraj published by Ibn Husan Press, Karachi (1999). The novel is about a woman named Zaitoon Bano and her life revolving around her of sorrow and pain. Based on her own revenge, she influences the lives of many without realizing how her actions can impact others. The story unfolds over two generations and reveals the secrets of many characters.
The story has been captured in a play by the name of Dil, Diya, Dehleez (Hum TV) directed by Yasir Nawaz. Javeria Abbasi portrays the role of Zaitoon Bano, Faisal Shah of Bari, Hiba Ali of Roshanay. Moammar Rana of Tehmoor Khan, Sara Chaudary of Naz, Farhan Ali Agha of Yawar Khan, Mustafa Quereshi of Baba Saab, along with many more interesting characters. The moral of the story is that in the hatred of destroying others, you actually end up destroying your self as well.
